　ADEKA CORPORATION is announcing that it will build a new manufacturing plant for TRANSPAREX™, a new ultimate performance novel clarifier, at the Jeonju No. 3 Plant of its consolidated subsidiary, ADEKA KOREA CORPORATION.

　Plastics are used in a wide range of applications, from consumer goods and food packaging to construction materials and mobility products. At the same time, growing efforts toward decarbonization and concerns over the supply of petrochemical feedstocks have increased the importance of plastic material recycling and efficient resource utilization.
　Polypropylene (PP) is widely used in applications such as food packaging and automotive bumpers due to its low weight, ease of processing, heat resistance, and durability. However, its limited transparency has restricted its use in applications where appearance is a key requirement.

　　To meet these market needs, ADEKA launched TRANSPAREX™, a new ultimate performance novel clarifier, in November 2024 with the aim of promoting material recycling and advancing the use of polypropylene as a mono-material solution. TRANSPAREX™ is a clarifying agent capable of imparting glass-like transparency to polypropylene. In 2025, it was recognized by the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ as the "Most effective clarifier for polypropylene transparency." In addition, TRANSPAREX™ is highly valued for its ability to deliver excellent transparency at a low dosage while maintaining performance during recycling, as well as offering superior heat and chemical resistance. As a result, TRANSPAREX™ has been adopted for a growing range of applications, including food packaging, medical products, automotive components, and consumer goods, with demand expanding worldwide.
　As demand for TRANSPAREX™ is expected to increase in line with its growing adoption, ADEKA has decided to build its own manufacturing plant in addition to existing contract manufacturing arrangements in order to ensure a stable supply of the product. The new facility will be constructed at the Jeonju No. 3 Plant of ADEKA KOREA CORPORATION. The site, which was acquired in 2018, currently houses manufacturing facilities for next-generation and future-generation semiconductor materials. The new TRANSPAREX™ plant will utilize available space within the site. This investment also represents ADEKA KOREA's first capital investment in polymer additives manufacturing facilities in nine years.

　Through the expansion of TRANSPAREX™ sales, the ADEKA Group aims to grow the global clarifier market to more than ¥50 billion by fiscal 2030 (compared with ¥30 billion in fiscal 2024) and to achieve a market share of over 60% (compared with 14% in fiscal 2024). By doing so, the Group will contribute to the realization of a resource-circulating society through material recycling and the promotion of mono-material solutions.
