ADEKA's New Ultimate Performance Novel Clarifier "TRANSPAREX™" Certified by Guinness World Records

ADEKA CORPORATION (President and Chief Executive Officer, Representative Director: Hidetaka Shirozume) announces that its new ultimate performance novel clarifier "TRANSPAREX™" has been certified by Guinness World Records in 2025 as the "Most effective clarifier for polypropylene transparency."
Plastics are used in every aspect of our daily lives, from household goods and food packaging to construction materials and mobility. Among them, polypropylene (PP) is valued for its light weight, ease of molding, and low environmental impact, as well as its high functionality such as heat resistance and durability. However, PP only weakness is its low transparency, which has led to the use of other plastics in fields where appearance is important.
TRANSPAREX™ is a new high-performance clarifier that gives PP a glass-like transparency previously unattainable. TRANSPAREX™ was proven by a third-party testing organization to provide overwhelmingly superior transparency compared to several clarifiers currently used in the market, and is certified by Guinness World Records.
Furthermore, TRANSPAREX™ not only provides world-class transparency to PP, but also achieves this with extremely low dosage level and excellent extraction resistance, balancing various functionalities. It can also impart transparency and functionality to recycled polymers regardless of residual additives, contributing to the promotion of material recycling. These features maximize the value of PP, which is generally considered to have low environmental impact during manufacturing, and contribute to monomaterialization by replacing other polymers.
The ADEKA Group is strengthening global sales of TRANSPAREX™, aiming to expand the possibilities of PP by imparting "world-class transparency + functionality," replacing other polymers and opening up new applications. Since its launch in November 2024, it has received positive feedback from customers in various markets. We aim to expand the clarifier market to over 50 billion yen by fiscal 2030 (from 30 billion yen in 2024), and to achieve a market share of over 60% (from 14% in 2024), making TRANSPAREX™ the world's top product.
