Expanding the possibilities of polypropylene embodies
the ultimate*1 transparency
ADK TRANSPAREX™ embodies the ultimate transparency of polypropylene articles which are realized with significant lower clarifier dosage. By enabling PP to replace materials such as polystyrene, PET, and even glass, ADK TRANSPAREX™ meets manufacturing’s diverse requirements.
*1 The transparency of polypropylene was evaluated using test samples 1 mm thick (Haze values). According to our in-house testing, the lowest Haze value on the market was 3.2.PP with the addition of TRANSPAREX™ achieved a Haze value of ≤2.0. Lower Haze values indicate higher transparency. Compatible with a wide range
of applications
Safety and Security
TRANSPAREX is approved by the US FDA as a food contact material. This is a highly safe polymer additives that has been approved for a wide range of temperature conditions, from A to H, as well as J.
Furthermore, since only a small amount needs to be added, plastic products can be used more safely and securely than ever before.
What is TRANSPAREX?

The name is a combination of "Transparency" and "Transformation-X."
With unprecedented transparency performance, we are committed to changing the future of the world for the better.
Achieved transparency
with TRANSPAREX™

- ● Compared to conventional nonitol-based Clarifier, it shows equal or greater transparency and improved mechanical properties with less than half the amount added.
- ● It is possible to achieve transparency comparable to that of amorphous resins (PS, PET, etc.).
- ● Easy to feed to extruders in a powder form due to excellent flowability.

ADEKA Polymer Additives
What are Polymer Additives?
Plastics are used in many aspects of our daily lives. Although they are a lightweight and convenient material, they also have the disadvantage of being easily degraded when exposed to heat and ultraviolet rays, and being highly flammable. ADEKA's "polymer additives" can solve these weaknesses of plastics. By adding "polymer additives", it is possible to create plastics that are "high performance", "long lasting", and "friendly to people and the environment".
Leveraging the strength of its extensive lineup, ADEKA is expanding its business globally and providing valuable materials.
Three strengths of
ADEKA Polymer Additives
A wide range of products from general-purpose to high-performance
-
Plastic materials utilize polymer additives tailored to their specific material properties, applications, and needs. These additives are indispensable to plastics, as adding small amounts of 0.1% to 5% will significantly extend product life and performance.
Our product lineup features additives with diverse functions, including plasticizers for PVC (polyvinyl chloride), flame retardants for PC (polycarbonate), and environmentally friendly additives that promote plastic recycling or that use raw materials with a lower environmental impact.
Providing solutions through comprehensive technical services
and technological support-
Our technical services feature a support system in which our expert researchers visit customers directly to evaluate their needs and issues onsite so as to provide swift and optimal solutions. Our ability to provide accurate and detailed services, such as product proposals, post-implementation advice, and even joint development to meet customer objectives, is made possible by having our researchers go on-site.
