The ADEKA Group held a press conference for Europe regarding its new high-performance clarifier "TRANSPAREX™" at the venue of "K 2025," the world's largest plastics and rubber trade fair, held in Düsseldorf, Germany on October 9.

Naoshi Kawamoto, Managing Operating Officer General Manager, Polymer Additives Division stated that following TRANSPAREX™ being recognized by Guinness World Records in 2025 as the "most effective clarifier for polypropylene": This certification is a proud moment for ADEKA and a testament to our relentless pursuit of innovation. TRANSPAREX™ represents the perfect synergy of performance and sustainability, enabling our customers to meet the growing demand for eco-conscious solutions while pushing the boundaries of what polypropylene can achieve.
The ADEKA Group is strengthening global sales of TRANSPAREX™, aiming to expand the possibilities of PP by imparting "world-class transparency + functionality," replacing other polymers and opening up new applications. Since its launch in November 2024, it has received positive feedback from customers in various markets. Furthermore, we are currently pursuing approvals in countries around the world, starting with FDA certification. In addition, though TRANSPAREX™ is already in mass production and being supplied to our customers, in anticipation of future demand growth, we are also considering further expansion of our production capacity.
We aim to expand the clarifier market to over 50 billion yen by fiscal 2030 (from 30 billion yen in 2024), and to achieve a market share of over 60% (from 14% in 2024), making TRANSPAREX™ the world's top product.

Transparency of PP was tested with four types of clarifiers currently used in the market by a third-party organization (July 25-August 1, 2025). ADK TRANSPAREX™ was proven to have the lowest Haze value* and the highest transparency.
