Mar. 16, 2026

ADEKA CORPORATION has cooperated on a small mobility devices demonstration conducted by TAISEI CORPORATION at Maezato Beach on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, from February 21 to March 1, 2026.

The demonstration project was designed to explore new mobility solutions in Ishigaki Island, where natural environments and tourism coexist closely. It also aimed to enhance the value and sustainability of coastal spaces by utilizing recycled materials produced through the upcycling of marine plastic waste.

As a project partner, ADEKA contributed its expertise in polymer additives by analyzing the collected marine plastic waste and leading its upcycling through advanced material evaluation and additive technology. These efforts helped enable the effective reuse of plastic waste in practical applications.

ADEKA is committed to addressing global plastic waste challenges by providing high-value additive solutions that improve material performance and recyclability. Through collaborations across the value chain, ADEKA has been contributing to promoting the upcycling of plastic waste and to a more sustainable, circular economy, continuously.
