Notice Regarding the Board of Directors' Opinion on Shareholder Proposal by Our Consolidated Subsidiary (NIHON NOHYAKU CO., LTD.)

We previously disclosed that our consolidated subsidiary, NIHON NOHYAKU CO., LTD. received a shareholder proposal for the agenda of the NIHON NOHYAKU's 126th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled to be held on June 18, 2025, and had provided the Board of Directors' opinion on the shareholder proposal. Subsequently, NIHON NOHYAKU received a written notice from the shareholder who submitted the shareholder proposal, indicating its intention to withdraw part of the shareholder proposal as follows. The written notice, dated May 16, 2025, has been reviewed, and in response, NIHON NOHYAKU has agreed to the withdrawal of the designated part of the shareholder proposal as of today. NIHON NOHYAKU hereby
provides this notification.
