Introduction of Electricity from Renewable Energy Sources

Jun. 21, 2023

In FY2022, ADEKA introduced a FIT non-fossil energy certificate* equivalent to the amount of electricity used at 9 domestic sites (Head Office, Osaka Main Branch, Nagoya Branch, Fukuoka Branch, Sapporo Regional Office, Sendai Regional Office, Tokyo R&D Center, Urawa R&D Center, Kuki R&D Center). As a result, 100% of the electricity used at the above sites was effectively renewable.
Reduced CO2 due to the introduction of renewable energy-derived electricity is approximately 4.8 thousand t.

In the Carbon Neutral Roadmap, ADEKA Group aims to reduce GHG emissions by 46% in 2030 (compared to 2013) and 2050 to achieve carbon neutrality. The introduction of renewable energy-derived electricity is part of our efforts toward this goal.
In addition to reducing GHG emissions associated with business activities, we will pursue the maximization of both social value and economic value by demonstrating innovation through the technological capabilities we have cultivated to date and contributing to GHG reductions with completely new technologies and products.

* FIT Non-fossil instruments: Certificates of environmental value of renewables purchased through feed-in tariffs (Feed-in Tariff).
