Korean DONGBU ADEKA CORP. Became a Complete Subsidiary

We acquired 60% of the stock of DONGBU ADEKA CORP., a manufacturing company of plastic additives, from Dongbu Group of Korea that is the other partner of this joint venture company, with the result that the company became our subsidiary with the equity ratio of 90% and the company name was changed into "ADEKA FINE CHEMICAL KOREA CORPORATION".

This measure will contribute to establishing the network of our bases in East Asia (Japan, China, Korea and Taiwan) that will occupy a more important position in the future supply and demand of our chemical products including Plastic Additives, and also to beefing up the collaboration and mutual supplement to strengthen our business in Asia. The network of our bases in East Asia is also anticipated to function organically for our business in the United States and Europe where we have already had footholds for years.
