Green Procurement Promotion Letters are Enlarged Default

Top CSR Framework Green Procurement Promotion

  Green procurement has been taking root in our corporation, since its introduction in 2000. We will continue to promote green procurement and expand it to group companies as well.

Green Procurement Ratio Stationery
  Asahi Denka green procurement ratio of FY2004 was 70.1%, a 3% decrease over the previous FY. We seek to increase the ratio next year by strengthening green procurement activities in Asahi Denka Group.

Non-stationery goods
  Asahi Denka gGreen Procurement Guideline for Non-stationery Goodsh was revised. Green procurement ratio of non-stationery for FY2004, including photocopy machine, personal computer, desk, chair, factory uniform, etc, was 74.3%.

Publication/ Printing
  When printing publications such as Corporate Report and Environmental Report, we try to minimize environmental burden by choosing subcontracted printing companies following gPrinting Order Guidelinesh.

Stationery Storage and Management

Environmentally Friendly Hybrid Vehicle Low Emission Vehicles
  Asahi Denka promotes introduction of low emission vehicles. Since FY2003, data of all group companies has been aggregated. In FY 2004, 49% of the total 231 vehicles, 114 were hybrid and low emission . The ratio increased by 5 points, as we had 99 low polluting vehicles (hybrid and low emission), to 44% of 227 vehicles total.
