Chemical Substance Management Committees that carry out research and training on chemical substances are established in six factories and three R&D labs. In FY2004, risk assessment training was held for employees using Japan Chemical Industry Association manual.
Computer shipping management system that contains checking functions of international regulations for exporting products was introduced, as chemical products export has been expanding. For chemical product export, export regulation of Japan as well as regulations of the country importing the product, must be followed. As regulation enforcement has been tightening internationally, due to international political instability, such as regional conflicts and terrorism, we strengthened our checking system of regulation in the shipping preparation process by using such computer management systems.
In addition to sales management, this newly introduced system enables the checking of compliance with gexport and trade management regulationh and regulations on chemicals in importing countries, as well as chemical substance management. The system also deals with export/ import amount limitations: it can count accumulated export amount of each substance included in various products.
