Although ADEKA experienced severe damage due to the Great East Japan Earthquake, it achieved a rapid recovery thanks to the tenaciousness of and cooperation between each and every employee in the ADEKA Group.
Even now, Japan is continuing to experience problems, including those related to the earthquake, the Fukushima nuclear accident, and public financing. Although in these times ADEKA is sailing into a strong headwind, we should embrace this adversity as an opportunity, take up the challenge, make innovative changes, and become a unified group in order to achieve our main target: becoming by our 100th anniversary in 2016 a superior company with annual sales of 300 billion yen.
I look forward to everyone's contributions to breathing new life into ADEKA as we push forward with the reinvention of our company.
