COLLOIDAL SILICA (ADELITE AT series)
- The silica particle contained in ADELITE AT series has a negative electric charge. It is because silanol groups on the surface of silica particles are bonded to hydroxide ions (OH-) in alkaline conditions, and since the individual silica particles bearing the negative charge repel each other and do not tend to form bonds, the solution is kept stable.
- The silica particles of ADELITE AT are amorphous, high in density, high in purity and spherical in shape. There are various grades ranging from 1 to 2.2 g/cm3 in density and from 10 to 20 nm in particle size.
