Since start of our factory operation in1995, we have continuously been achieving zero accident and zero disaster, i.e., zero accidents resulted in leave of absence and zero facility accidents with external impact.
In addition we have been working on activity achieving "Completely Safe Factory" which had been changed to the factory of zero accident and zero disaster from the one that accident and disaster are hard- to-happen, always considering possibility of accident and disaster occurrence at any time, and checking if there is any hazard sources exist and vilifying the countermeasures.
As part of it, we have achieved certain result in prevention of occupational accident, and claims for product quality through research on potential risk and application of precautionary measures. utilizing risk assessment method to the issues on environment, quality, new product and new facility introduction, as well as Occupational Health and Safety.

The target facility for "Air Pollution Control Law" is the boiler and incinerator of industrial waste in our factory.
We use "A" heavy oil for fuel which has less Sulfur content and maintain the facility well by periodical check-ups by the maker and also us so that it is operated in a good condition.
Also our industrial waste incinerator is the target facility for the Law concerning Special Measures against Dioxins. We have been operating and managing the boiler in ways defined by the Law in detail which are operation and structure that does not generate Dioxin, and observe and record the operation condition continuously.

Industrial wastes in our factory are waste oil, waste water, and filtered sludge cake, waste paper and plastic.
Waste oil and water makes up the majority of all wastes and are incinerated in our factory.
Other wastes such as filtered sludge cake, waste paper and plastic have been treated by commissioned subcontractors.
As for the treatment measures by commissioned subcontractors, incinerated ash is utilized as recycled material and also crushed and compressed to be utilized as fuel for paper factory and cement factory.
Continuously our factory promotes to decrease industrial waste generation by further recycle and proper waste treatment on site.
Also for the waste treatment by commissioned subcontractors, we seek to decrease total waste amount of landfill, by gradually switching the treatment method to recycle and thermal recycle.

Japanese Government had established Law concerning Reporting, etc. of Release to the Environment of Specific Chemical Substances and the Promoting Improvements in Their Management, which is called "PRTR Law" for prevention of environmental pollution and health damage by chemical substances.
Notification of hazardous information and amount of registered chemical substances discharge are obliged.
The targets in our factory are toluene, carbon disulfide, bis phthalate, molybdenum, other compounds and 5 dioxin substances.
We continue to check and decrease discharge amount of environmental pollution substances since 1997, before legislation enforcement.

"Green Procurement" is the activity to purchase environmentally sound products and services, not only considering the price and quality, and reconsidering whether you really need it or not when you buy something.
We promote green procurement activity by buying mainly eco-stationeries and equipments.
Also all stuff in our factory have started to bring their own chopsticks which are called "my hashi" instead of disposable chopsticks and use their own bag which is called "my bag" in stead of plastic shopping bag when going shopping.
