Digest
Producing Products Contributing to Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emission
Lubricant additive produced at our factory is used for automotive engine oil. It reduces friction and attrition inside the engine contributing to fuel consumption savings and longer lubricant operating life. It is exported to automotive industries world wide, in addition to domestic automotive industries use. Our lubricant additive contributes to reduction of greenhouse gas emission.

Continuously Achieving Zero Accident and Zero Disaster
Since start of our factory operation in 1995, we have continuously been achieving zero accident and zero disaster, i.e., zero accidents resulted in leave of absence and zero facility accidents with external impact.
In October; however, an accident, not resulting in leave of absence occurred; right knee scratch by knife. We work on prevention of similar accident, as we reflect on the fact that the safety standard of knife use was not followed thoroughly by all employees.

Industrial Waste Reduction Measures
Our factory continuously promotes industrial waste reduction measures, for example promoting separation of waste so as to increase waste that can be sold as valuable resource to be recycled. We continue proper waste treatment on site. For the waste treatment by commissioned subcontractors, we seek to reduce total waste amount being incinerated therefore reducing carbon dioxide emission, by gradually switching the treatment method to recycling and thermal recycling.

Energy Saving Measures
We perceive promotion of energy saving measures as a very important mission as our factory consumes large amount of energy. We promote energy saving measures with all employees participation, through various measures, such as production processes improvement, waste reduction, utilization of waste incinerator heat, finding electricity and steam loss and taking countermeasures, and utilization of external consultant

Chemical Substances Measures
In our factory 8 substances fall under the chemical substances targeted by laws and regulations. We have been promoting management and reduction of discharge amount since 1997, prior to the establishment of the regulation.

Change of the Target Chemical Substances Discharge and Transportation Amount

Reduction of CO2 Emission from Transportation
For the shipment of products, we promote reduction of CO2 emission by using transportation trucks efficiently.
Since 2006, we started to measure CO2 emission from product and waste transportation. We promote CO2 emission reduction for the whole plant, combined with emission reduction from production processes.
