It is reported in local newspapers and public relations magazines and acknowledged from government officials and communities.

♦ Promotion of Sports and Sound Nurturing of Youth

Judo and Kendo Competition for Youth, Held by Police Station in Arakawa Ward
ADEKA and local police stations in Ogu, Arakawa and Minamisenjyu co-sponsor martial arts competitions for youth who attend martial arts schools at police stations. The competition started in 2000, aiming for sound nurturing and delinquency prevention of youth, and continues to improve interaction of sponsors with local communities. A record number of 165 participated in the sixth competition. There was overflowing excitement of active ambulant youth in response to cheers from parents. We continue to improve the competition, hoping that every participant is able to make an achievement from daily practice

Comment from Ogu Police Station

Since 2000, ADEKA has welcomed the sixth Judo and Kendo competition for youthful residence in Arakawa Ward, "Asahi Denka Cup", supported by three police stations in Ogu, Arakawa and Minamisenjyu in the ward for sound nurturing and delinquency prevention of youth. The highest level of competition is the biggest target and pride for youth, who learn Judo and Kendo at police stations. The skills of Judo and Kendo are improved dramatically after the matches in the competition. Their development brings both great pleasure and challenge for instructors.

♦ International Contributions

Contribution to Local Economy Overseas
Producing "SALFAT" (fat and oil for chocolate)" over the years (by our company) is recognized as contribution to local economy development. ADEKA, together with partner MITSUI & CO., LTD., received an official commendation from Chhattisgarh State government in India. Our company has continued to produce "SALFAT" from India for about 30 years, since 1977. An estimated one million local residents in total are involved in producing "SALFAT" by our company every year, with production done by buying India's own forestry products intermittently. These initiatives led to the commendation that creation of employment and sustainable livelihood of local residents contributed to development of the local economy.
